Exemplary Teacher Award

The selection criteria for the award include:

• Demonstration of exceptional teaching
• Recognized concern for students and colleagues, and sensitivity to the mission of the church-related university
• A record of significant contributions to the scholarly life of the university
• Commitment to high standards of professional and personal life

In support of Emory's belief that "the intellectual and social energy that results from diversity is a primary asset of the university," special consideration should be given to nominees that reflect this commitment to inclusiveness.

• The dean of each school nominates one (1) faculty member for consideration.
• A dossier is sent to the Provost’s attention and should include: the faculty member's employee ID number, their CV, and a comprehensive letter of justification from the dean. The dean's letter should describe the faculty member's record of achievement, their impact, and supporting reasons for their selection.
• All nomination materials should be sent to Tiffany Worboy at tworboy@emory.edu by Friday, January 29, 2027.
• The President and Provost choose the recipient.
