Letters of Support

Faculty, administrators, and student groups should follow the process below to request a letter in support of grant applications or other activities.
  1. Send the request four weeks prior to the date required.
  2. Include a succinct summary of the reason for the request.
  3. Attach relevant background materials, such as the grant proposal, a list of chief personnel involved, and the budget.
  4. Provide the full name, title, and address of the person who should receive the letter.
  5. Recommend items for the content of the letter. Draft letters are welcome.
  6. Note any obligations the provost's office may sustain by supplying a letter of support.
