Message from the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs


Research universities derive their distinction from their faculty. It is faculty who generate knowledge, train future thought leaders, and define what an institution stands for intellectually and in the world.

Emory’s Office of Faculty Affairs supports faculty at every stage of their career and across every track as we collectively seek to advance the university’s mission to create, preserve, teach and apply knowledge in the service of humanity. Our work is to offer guidance, celebrate your achievements, and build the structures and relationships that allow you to do your best work – and to thrive as scholars, teachers, mentors and leaders.

Emory partners with the Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education to administer its Faculty Satisfaction Survey. Survey data helps identify the drivers of academic success and implement informed changes designed to advance faculty eminence at Emory.
