To salon or not to salon

During many of the In Dialogue conversations with Provost Claire Sterk, faculty often have expressed a wish for a gathering place where they can swap ideas, learn what others are doing, or just hang out. To help answer that yearning, the Office of the Provost and the Center for Ethics have joined together to offer a series of Faculty Salons this spring. Standing in the middle of the first salon on a late afternoon in March, one could learn about the collaboration of an Emory professor on an opera workshop in Brazil, a colleague’s efforts to bring better health care to Southwest Atlanta, or even get an invitation to join a faculty bluegrass band. Stay tuned for future opportunities for noshing, debating, conversing, and salon-ing with colleagues.
