Leah Michalove

Emory's 2016 Rhodes Scholar

Congratulations to Leah Michalove, one of 32 U.S. college students selected as a 2016 Rhodes Scholar and the 19th student from Emory to be selected for the prestigious scholarship. A senior majoring in Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies, with a minor in anthropology, Michalove is a Dean's Achievement Scholar and member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. In addition to her academic honors, she has contributed greatly to the Emory community from her work with the theatrical groups Dooley's Players and AdHoc Productions to her co-founding and service on Emory J Street U as well as tutoring in Arabic and Hebrew. "Leah is a wonderful ambassador for Emory and a shining example of the engaged students who study here," says Provost Claire Sterk.
