James E. Carter Chair

The Jimmy Carter Chair, honoring the 39th President of the United States, was established in 2013 when John Moores gave a gift of stock to Emory University in support of Emory’s strong collaborative relationship with The Carter Center. The holder of the Jimmy Carter Chair is a current faculty member who embodies leadership in their field, and whose expertise is focused in the areas associated with President Carter’s legacy and/or the ongoing work of The Carter Center.
